Campaign for America’s Future Exposes Obstruction in Congress on YouTube

The Campaign for America’s Future (CAF) is a center for ideas and action that works to build an enduring majority for progressive change.
As part of CAF’s relentless fight against obstructionism in Congress, CAF filmed a short witty satire illustrating congressional obstructionism as the works of Lord Rovemort, played by Jason Alexander.

Challenge

Since CAF wanted to expose the movie to a broad audience, YouTube was the obvious choice. To maximize exposure CAF turned to Collactive, a leader in online PR.

CAF had all the ingredients needed to generate a buzz on the Web 2.0 - good content and a very active community. Unfortunately these ingredients are not always enough - Collactive’s challenge was to orchestrate the movie’s publicity in the Web 2.0 so these ingredients will indeed turn into success.

Our Work

Collactive helped CAF create a successful YouTube campaign that extended well beyond YouTube.
Collactive’s unique mix of know-how, virality and proven execution over the web was used to empower CAF’s own community and to coordinate and maximize the impact of CAF’s mailing list, other progressive organizations, friendly bloggers and CAF’s presence on MySpace.

Collactive’s solution enabled supporters, regardless of technical skills, to effectively help in promoting the movie. Collactive monitored and tracked progress in real time, enabling CAF to optimize the campaign while running in order to achieve maximum impact.
